Part of the Great Multitude

A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to attend a Christian celebration of the ethnic groups in Oaxaca. Many pastors came from various parts of Oaxaca, each bringing with them a sample of their unique culture. It was beautiful to see the variety of clothing; to hear the music and languages from several people groups and to pray and worship together as the united body of Christ.
During one of the sermons, the preacher had a representative from each people group present come up front and say specific phrases in each language. I believe there were 8-10 different languages represented and what a treat to hear them all say things like, "God is love" and "God bless you." God's heart is for His message of love to go out to EVERY tribe and EVERY nation.
It reminds me of how heaven will one day be: “And there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb.” (Revelation 7:9a) How awesome that will be when ALL of God’s people join together to worship Him!
